Just wondering what you use (brushes, disinfectant, etc.) and how you do it.

I just take everything out, spray the inside w/ "Whipe-Out", wait 5
minutes, towel it out, then follow with a damp rag.
The hides, bowels and furniture are sprayed w/ Whipe Out too.

I don't clean my tank very often, it never seems dirty. I do change water every other day though.
I just clean the reptile carpet by brushing out all the moss that gets scattered.
I also clean the glass every so often but thats really it.

Yeah, I go months before cleaning too. No need, I have so many little
pieces of paper towel in there, the actual floor never gets dirty.

I use a Bleach/Water solution. I just use like a little cap full of bleach with A LOT of water. Then all the hides/plants are washed with anti bacterial hand soap. I'm a clean freak and will stay clean for atleast two hours and rinsing out the tank to make sure all the bleach is out.

If anyone has any ideas I'm looking for some other disinfectant that isn't as harsh as bleach please reply.

I spot clean of course; there's a small square of paper towel down in Tiamat's potty spot. But when I DO do an extreme cleaning; fake plants, hides, and bowls soak in a hot water/bleach solution for a bit, then rinsed, then soaked in a hot water/Aqua Plus solution. Meanwhile, the paper towels are changed or if I'm using repticarpet, handwashed in hot water and smidgen of laundry detergent, then hung to dry completely. The tank is sprayed with vinegar/water, let sit for a few minutes, then wiped out with a paper towel. Then, ~voila~, clean tank. :)

"Cleaning of the Glass House, 101"
Please make note that cleaning is needed....they are pooping in there,
and the White Solids are not all the liquids that come out of them. Some gecko's sneeze and blow stuff(??) to the glass. (I've seen it)
Besides, why not help them from getting sick from germs
that float through their place because of us
and other pets we have. We cough, sneeze, get sick,
and have animals walking the house.
My total cleanup is done when it
"appears to need it," "been awhile",
or I can't take photos through the glass...................

Empty Tank of all items but not gecko.**
Clean each item at the sink.
(anti bacterial dish soap/hot water w/toothbrush..hot rinse)
Clean out vacuum cleaner hold tank.---so you can retrieve uneaten meal worms, pupae, beetles later if you desire.
Vacuum total flooring. (mine is carpet/tile)
Total clean glass interior and exterior with Hydrogen peroxide
dampened on a soft cloth.....or towels.
**Bottle reads that Humans can use it as a gargle,
so I just make sure that

if your gecko has bad breath and needs to gargle
you get the Gecko Kind for him/her..
..............Take care and "happy Cleaning".......
and may the gecko interest force be with you.... HJ

I change the paper towels once every week or so, unless there is a mess that is in dire need of cleaning before then. For the outside of the tank I use windex. The inside have been done with a hot rag. Then I wipe it down till its dry and voila!
