How do you feed crickets to your Leo?

Hi Everyone,

When I feed my Leo mealworms I just put them in a dish and he eats them on his own schedule. When I feed him crickets I usually remove everything from his tank and put in about 7 crickets all at once. He eats them one after another. Would it be better to leave everything in his tank so he can hunt for the crickets? Am I making it too easy for him?

Thanks!

I also remove the "furniture" from the tank in most cases. You could always experiment and see if the leo can catch the crickets with the furniture in there.

You can tweezer feed them, or you can remove their jump legs and put them in a dish for your leo. :)

What I usually did to make sure they all ate fairly is I removed the geckos from their tank and transfer them into a special feeding container where I can drop individual crickets in.

I know it sounds crazy, but the girls now all go nuts when the tank lid comes open and they clamber onto my hand for feeding. The littlest one will try her absolute hardest to get out of her tank and chase me over to the cricket bin if she could.
