how ig is to big?

well i know alot of people feed big food items and i was wondering how big of crickets should be fed to 5-7 month olds 5 1/2 in, 6 in and 6 1/2 in thx,

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't want to feed anything wider than the space between their eyes or longer than their head.

When my little guy was about that size he got 1/2 size crickets. Sometimes he'd get a 3/4 if it had gotten mixed in.

That is a rule made up to be on the "safe side"... We know that leopard geckos can take insect prey wider than and longer than their heads without a problem...

At that age, adult crickets should be no problem. I broke the "safe side rule" a loooong time ago with roaches!!

When i first got my leos about 3 weeks ago (they were about 6" long and supposed to be 3-3.5 months old), the male wouldn't touch crickets that were larger than 2/3 of his head. If I gave him smaller ones he would eat them. If he saw larger ones he just turns his head away (-_-')

Now they both eat crickets that are as large as their head :)
