I may have convinced my mom to let me get a BP,and so I was just wondering if I should go with one,or a different snake such as a king or other colubrid. What do you guys think? It will most likely be in a rack,so How active it is inside the cage doesn't matter. But when you take them out,do they just ball up or do they slither around you and stuff.Obviously you can't "play" with them like cats and dogs, but I would like to have a snake that is fun to handle.I really appreciate any help! Thanks!

Yep... my son's is about 3-4 years old and active when handled and at night after the lights go out he takes a few laps around his habitat, but he's not in a rack. Also agree with Ted, they only ball up when serisouly afraid, like just getting taken our or startled, Loki hardly ever balls up but would rather just pull back from the thing tweaking him. Biggest issue I would say after owning a couple different balls (including my son's) is that they can be difficult eaters (some morphs morr than others from what I hear). Some do great, then there's ones like Loki that eat once or twice every 6 weeks and at that only a small mouse or 2. I'd be certain to ask the breeder/seller about how well they're eating and what and how often before deciding on that particular snake, ball or otherwise.
