how long do I wait?

So I got a new leo yesterday, and I heard that you were supposed to wait a while till you should hold it. I don't know if this it true. What do you recommend?

Plan to spend about a week letting it settle in. They spend another week, maybe, putting your hand in, talking to it and seeing if you can touch it. If it seems to be exploring, eating and pooping after that point, try picking it up. It's best if you can make a little cave with your hand and let it sit in there, rather than holding it between your fingers.
