How many beetles/aliens

I'm raising my own mealworms. So far, I have probably 40 or 50 aliens in a separate container and 20 to 30 beetles in a separate container with ground oatmeal/carrot, with new beetles/aliens everyday. I only have one leo. so do I need to keep all these beetles/aliens or do I have enough already to keep raising enough for 1 gecko? Thanks in advance.

You might be better off keeping all of the beetles you have, but you don't need all of the aliens. You can feed those off to your gecko if you want to. He/she would probably enjoy them.

20-30 beetles should be plenty for one gecko. They lay a lot of eggs and you'll have tons of mealworms in no time.
