how many mealworms will a juvinile eat?

hey im just wondering how many mealworms you guys think a 6 week old leo will eat because mine is coming in the mail wednsday and i have the mealworms now so i wanna know how many i should put in a different container to gutload on tuesday. thanks

The first day or few days it may or may not eat as it acclimates to its new surroundings. We usually start ours out with 10. If they eat that many we increase to 15. We keep increasing until they appear to have leftovers. Once we know they are eating well we don't count anymore. Then our mealie eaters just have a bowl in their tub 24/7.

yeah i know he might not eat but i figure i should try to feed him at least.

When you say they eat 10-15 maybe more, do they do this daily or every few days??

Babies generally want to eat every day. Both my little ones and my juvies eat about 10-15 mealies each per day. My adults eat about that much every 2-3 days
