I got a small Mack snow a week ago and I'm wondering how much she should eat daily. I'd say she is about a month and 1 week old. She's small still probably around 4-5 inches long but she's still real skinny because she's just a baby. I've looked around and want to know what you guys think.

She's in a 20gal long tank with repti carpet and a exo Terra 8x8 dessert heat pad. She has 2 medium exo Terra repti cave hides and a castle decoration to climb on and aid in shedding. I put a wet papertowel in her hide to make it humid since she won't use the actual humid hide I have for her. Hot side temp is between 92-97 cool side is 70-76 and this is constant no higher or lower.

I got her last weds and on avg she eats 6 small crickets 1/2inch long or a little smaller every day at 5pm. I have offered up to 10 but she only seems to eat a max of 6 per day. She poos daily and has been drinking water daily and has become more active.

I've seen on some forums that people with small leos like mine are eating anywhere from 6-12 crickets daily and some people are feeding their Leo twice a day. I only feed crickets and won't use mealworms, I will feed
superworms when she gets big enough but that's gonna be awhile and I dust everyday with repashy calcium plus icb.

So for those of you that feed crickets which probably isnt many because mealworms seem like the hot topic here, how many crickets does
your Leo eat daily and how big is your Leo and how big are the feeders?

I keep her temp on the warmer side around 95-97 avg so she digests her food quickly and poos regularly but I wonder if she should be eating more then 6 crickets a day.

I won't switch to roaches as they are gross and mealworms are totally out of the question here. I feel if you have only one or two leos and you feed mealworms thatits lazy and in return makes your Leo lazy.
I think feeding mealworms from a bowl is like treating your Leo like a dog or a cat and in return makes them lazy and not really active.. So let me know of you are a cricket feeder and how many how often thanks..

Wow no help at all? I posted 5 hours ago sheesh.

I dropped in 4 more crickets and she ate them too. So that's 10 small crickets for her today. I'm just gonna feed her in the morning around 10am and at 9pm and see how much she eats. Thanks for the help

Baby geckos vary a lot in the amount they will eat. The general rule of thumb (probably mentioned in many caresheets) is to feed them as much as they'll eat in about 15 or 20 minutes and to remove what's left. One way to do it is to count how many they eat and then feed that much each time. Just like people, though, a gecko may want more one day and more the next day, so it's a good idea to put a bunch of crickets in and remove what's left over. At about 30 grams or so, they seem not to be hungry every day and that's a good time to switch them to every other day.
