How Much Has Your Life Changed?

I just wanted to bump this thread, as I absolutely love it. I really do believe that these little guys changed my life. I'm happier around them, and they made my depression go away quicker two years back. Socially, they've linked me to some great friends, and I love talking to people who are knowledgeable about these guys. I have something to do with my life and spare time now, and it just feels as if something has been added to my life.

i got my first reptile at age 8.
keeping reptiles in the 60s and 70s pretty much made you a freak.
my nickname was 'snakeboy' which, in college became 'snakeman'
herps are SO much more mainstream now.

My whole life is dedicated to my leos! I even re-arranged my house so they can live better! My family thinks I'm insane.

Had to get a larger apartment for them. Planned a trip to CA to fit in the Anaheim show. Started breeding this year. Currently have 65, will have 69 tomorrow and over 70 by the end of the week. Taking a day off work tomorrow to get a tank ready for the new kids since our 4th rack just got ordered. Many people think I'm insane.

My life completely changed. My reptiles are the reason I get out of bed everyday.
I honestly don't know where or who I'd be without them.

I haven't read through this whole thread but I can imagine that most people have described that their lives have changed for the better.

I LOVE my herps, more than anything, and I could never give them all up but I can't say my life has changed for the better.

I don't go out as much, I don't go away for the weekends much.

My whole family lives in another Province and we usually visit them for a month a couple times a year and it is an extremely hard thing to find someone to pet sit that has enough experience and won't kill all of my Geckos...

Lately I've been wishing we only had the 2 Cats because it'd be so much easier to travel more often but I also love these Scaley little guys too much to give them away.

So, basically I've become a hermit since getting Reptiles, LOL.

I'm 44 years old. I had a box turtle as a child. In my adult life I have kept reptiles for well over 16 years now. So I can't really remember what life was like before them. I'm still passionate about them though!
