Here's an estimate of some of the "durable" supplies:
a second gecko: anywhere from $25 up
hobovator incubator: $50
proportional thermostat: $110
Egg containers and substrate: $15
Lay boxes for the cage: $10

Now, to that you have to add the cost of housing, heating and feeding baby geckos, and the possible cost of vet visits if someone gets sick. Remember also that heating multiple enclosures does have an effect on the electric bill. Think hard about breeding before you decide to do it. There are many joys, but also many expenses. If you will be on a tight budget or are at a point in your life where there will be many changes (starting school, getting married, having kids, moving out of state, etc) then breeding is not a good choice.

Aliza has a good list for a small project where you maybe have a 1.1, 1.2, 2.2 or other group something like that. The other thing to think about is where you are going to sell the babies you decide not to keep. Typical local shows in my area run about $40/table.
