So Im going to try to get my leos on mealies. Mera as far as I know has always been on cricekts. What can I do to get her interested in the mealies if she doesnt have any interest when I put them in? Also Mera is 3 1/2 she eats 6 crickets every 3 days but I cant stand feeding the crickets which is why I want to get her on mealies. So how many should I feed her and how often? I read some people keeping some in the tank at all times and just switching them out so they dont get dehydrated and such. So how many should she have? The mealies will be adults when I start using them

I just leave mealworms in the tank all the time. My geckos seem to eat a full bowl in 1-2 days.

For switching her over, I say just leave them in there, and don’t offer her crickets. Sooner or later she’ll give in, and eat the mealworms if she doesn’t right away.

Well I have a little routine.

My gecko eats around 10mealies a night. So every night (around 6-8pm, she comes out when she's ready to eat). I put in 10 dusted mealies in a petri dish. If there are any left over I take them and put them back into my mealie bin where they are being feed 24/7! And do it all over again. I like to think that she's getting mealies that have just been gutloaded instead of ones that have just been sitting there. But then again i have one geckos so it's easy for me.
