I was wondering what was more personable and more handable a leo, aft, bearded or bts? I will be getting a nether reptile in a while and have been researching all but im stuck on which to get. I have had cresteds have a garg and chewie but i want to set up a long tank that is a different set up. Give me your opinions

I think the beardie and BTS (I have a beardie but not a BTS) are more personable and more enjoyable to handle. In general, I find the AFT's a bit easier to handle but the leos somewhat more personable. The larger reptiles need quite a bigger space, which is why I only have a beardie. As always, it depends on the individual animal so if being handled and responsive is really important, you may want to consider getting an adult that has already shown these characteristics. I got my beardie 4 years ago when she was 4 and she's been a pleasure.

Bearded dragons seem to have lots of personality. My friend has two, one was a cripple he got from a neighbor & he was the friendliest thing ever! He just had this look in his eye that screamed "pay attention to me". The other one kinda was indifferent to everthing. But each reptile has its personality. Good luck in your search!

Both have wonderful personalities and enjoy human interaction. BTS are more snuggly than dragons but dragons are very interested in things within their scope of vision, which can be a lot of fun too. They have excellent eyesight. They bob and wave and puff up their beard :) Both have nails that can scratch you if not careful, and sometimes need to be trimmed. Dragons need to be bathed, BTS do not. You can put a halloween costume on a dragon, a BTS will wiggle out of one. They both need a good heat and light source and large tank as adults. Dragons like to climb a piece of wood and get up higher than BTS, who enjoy burrowing. My BTS liked pushing around a small rubber ducky, she was a nut :) I've had both and love them, but to choose, I went with a dragon.

after coming back from petsmart and seeing this bearded going crazy. I think im gona have to go with a bearded dragon because I really don't like that the bts burrows and just the general personality of most of the beardeds I have seen.

be sure to get a beardie who is old enough to survive- when they are just hatchlings, they are more likely to get sick or not eat properly- if you find a good breeder, they wont release thier babies until they are the size of a grown leo or larger :) we have a local breeder that has specialized in beardies for many years, and he handles and personalizes every one- they are the sweetest reptiles on this planet!

The each have their own personality. My beardy has the personality of a rock. I have seen others that are very inquisitive and 'outgoing'. My Leo, Slestack is pretty laid back but is more outgoing than my beardy. They both don't mind being handled the beardy could really care less the Leo can be abit more feisty at first but still doesn't mind doesn't try to bite just runs.
