how to catch a leo that escaped ?

i live in an apt on the second floor and he might of escaped through a hole where the baseboard heater gas pipe is and i have been checking around for the last couple of days

I think you probably need to move everything -- slowly and carefully so you don't squish the gecko with heavy items -- and sift through your apartment bit by bit. Reptiles are not easy to find once they get out since they are usually scared and they can stay hidden for days (if not weeks) without needing to come out to feed. They try to find small dark places to hide. If its cold they may try to find somewhere warmer but often staying safe and hidden is more important to them than staying warm.

Awww man. I hope he didn't get down in the wall.. My best friend had a hamster that did that and they never could get him out. the only option was to bust a hole in the downstairs apartment's wall and the management wouldn't allow that.. Like they said, I would have a container with a lid handy, so you can scoop him up if you find him. Move EVERYTHING and be VERY careful while you're moving stuff. Hope you find him. How did it escape anyways?
