how to clean a gecko terrarium?

I find 1-4 ants every day in my gecko's terrarium, I've hrard of a 6:1 water and clorox solution to clean my gecko's habitat? Is this dangerous?

I use dish soap and a small sponge to clean mine then I just rinse it out with water then dry it with a towel so you don`t get water marks.

Personally, I use Chlorhexidine...I don't have to worry about rinsing it off, it just gets sprayed and wiped. If you're going to use bleach and water, then you're safer with a ratio of 1 part bleach to 9 parts water. Rinse it until you can't smell the bleach anymore...I had an ant problem I knocked out not too long ago. They were going after the moist hides, the old mealies in their dishes, and the water dishes. I had the exterminator come and put some ant bait near each cage...I wouldn't let him spray, nor did he want to after he saw how crazy I am about my geckos I also went out and bought these new fancy shmancy ant bait traps by HotShot and put one of THOSE near each cage. I did have to spend some money, but in the long run the ants were taken care of.
