Tell her "I got you that damn diamond! Your letting me have lizards" And thats that. I agree with wsumike. Be a man about it. I'm sure she comes home with a new pair of shoes every so often or a dress. You should be allowed to have another lizard...IN YOUR MAN CAVE!

And awesome. Maybe she's trying to understand your reptile love and maybe she'll spot something she wants. It happens. My ex fiance used to gush over leaf gecko's and she didn't like reps till she saw one of those.

I thought I saw Matt Baronak's Facebook update recently at the White Plains expo. If he goes again, just bring her to his table. LOL.. It'll be difficult for her not to fall in love with one of his leopard geckos.

so true...I hope one of the vendors has their wife or girlfriend there, so she can "mingle".

September 9th, 2012...Gonna be an Epic Day! BTW, I tried asking for another leopard gecko for my 24th bday present, but she said no, haha.

Wooo!! See, all you gotta do is include them. That usually works. I know it works for my hubby. Haha He has given in to the fact that there will never be just one gecko. haha Well more like agreed.

Wait till you have to ask her if you could start breeding roaches. LOL.. I'm not telling mine yet. The roach bin is hidden in a closet. But we don't live together so maybe he will never find out!

So yesterday my boyfriend saw the dubias in the dishes so he asked me if they were cockroaches. I said no they are called dubias. So he asked are they roaches? I said they are in the same family. I guess that's lying, right?

Gratz on being able to have another gecko! I see you might belooking for an albino. I don't know if other people's albinos hide all the time during the day, but my tremper albino giant only comes out at night when ALL lights (except the red lamp) in the room are off. She's super tame when I take her out of the tank and just sits there, but I was told tremper albino giants are gentle and tame in general. She's beautiful with bright yellow and white body and orange head, but I almost never see her.

They can't be housed together until they are similar size and weight. Otherwise it is likely that the smaller one could be injured by the adult female.

you might want to wait till you have more expierence before breeding them cause its not just throw them in the tank and the put the eggs in an incubator and presto! You need more knowledge on leos in general first , cause if your asking questions like that then you have a lot more to learn before you even start researching how to breed them. And please dont take offence to any of this cause it may sound harsh but im not tryin to be

I agree with you completely, except I knew the answer and asked anyways hoping for a different answer. Haha.

Just got told what I already knew. No offense taken. I've learned everyone here has an opinion and everyone is trying to help out.

Good deal happy to hear your getting another. I remember when I was with the ex and I kept bringing home things...like that 5 foot boa...that was in my work bag...that just so happened to suddenly have a tank setup in the living room lol.

Roaches in the sink...>_< ... Sorry I just can't do the roach thing. born and raised in NY. Roaches are ruined for me. Especially the big NY roaches (we call them waterbugs) that get as big as finches and FLY AT YOU! No..no thanks. never breeding roaches.

but anyway happy to hear your getting another gecko.

Thanks. I look forward to learning a lot more. I've watched every YouTube video known to man on the subject of Leopard Geckos.

I'm gonna buy Ron trempers book and take it from there.

Breeding may not be a good idea considering you had to convince your girlfriend to get the 2nd one. A dozen more may be too many. LOL

But on a side note, you are only going to end up with a bunch of normals with hets with Annie, which you may have a hard time selling.

I'm gonna breed Annie for normal babies.

And breed two sunglows for sunglow babies.

I will have 2 geckos at my house and all the babies will be at another location 10 mins down the road.

Be a grown man and do what you want. My wife said no snakes so I went to my garage, built a 6ft x3x3 enclosure (Looks amazing, like a piece of furnature) in my off time and covered it. Went out and bought a ball python and put it in the corner of the living room. Waited till she went to work and when she came home (was in a swivle chair.) Turned the chair and said. "we have been expecting you" The look on her face was priceless.

hilarious, I literally laughed out loud

I agree that one made me laugh too...lol

You might want to read a few of the threads about why its not a good idea to breed Leo's with unknown genetic backgrounds. Just because a gecko looks normal doesn't mean there aren't hidden recessive genes that will "muddy" up the genetic waters, so to speak. For example, there's a chance that breeding her to a sunglow could produce offspring het for Tremper and Bell Albino if Annie has Bell as a recessive gene.
