How to get the tank warmer?

I've been trying to bump up the temp. in my room so my leo is warm, but it's been a struggle. See, sometimes it goes to 75. Over the winter break, it never did, since I was home and could moniter the room's heater. And the heater in my room may or may not give off carbon monoxide or whatever it's called, and that can't be healthy, but if I open up a door or window, it gets cold again. I tried putting a space heater next to his cage, but that doesn't work. Keep in mind I have two floor heaters on his cage and a heat lamp.

Any tips to keep it warm while I'm away?

the two floor heaters on the tank seems impractical.Do u have an under tank heat pad presently underneath your tank.If u dont thats what i would suggest first off.

As Roger said are you using a UTH? Just doesn't sound like you are because most get pretty hot. Also make sure you're using a temp gauge with a probe, and measuring the floor temps.

Hope this helps.

A UTH is a heating pad thing right? The one you stick beneath the cage? I use two because they are small and I need to fit the humid hide and warm hide on the same section. I'll have to get a thermometer tomarrow, but the floor of the tank is very nice and warm.

Yes a uth is a heating pad.u can use the humid hide as your sole hide on the warm end if u like.u need to get a thermometer that measures floor temp though

I had this same problem, I live in a college house and we keep our heat low. I just use my heat lamp and a heating pad and it works well. Just be sure to shut off the heat pad/light if it starts getting too warm

If you have heats mats and a heat lamp you should have more then enough to keep the tank warm.

Our heat in the apartment decided to break on us sunday night since it was super cold (7 degrees) and we didn't get it fixed until last night.

My point is that the only one who was nice and toasty in the apartment was snowflake with her heatlamp and heatmat in 7 degree weather.
