Hi all,
I'm entering into a trade with a local dealer and I want to get my money's worth since I'll be parting with a couple of particularly nice leos in the deal. The cresteds I'm trading for are a male black sided harlequin and a female red dalmation. Both are fires. (Please let me know if my terminology is off, I'm still learning about these guys). Roughly what are they worth?

Here are some pics:

do you have pics of the dalmatian fired up red? i have a red crestie too but he doesnt fire up red much , but when hes does look out hes on fire! im sure you know males aren't worth much unless its a really clean, desired morph. and females are golden as they are females, and a desired morph is even better...but i only own a few cresties, so i would wait on others replies...

Get pics of the parents. That red Dalmation looks very good. I have seen them between $175-$600 depending on the phenotype and the breeder. If that girl fires up RED then with all the spotting she looks like she would be on the upper side of that price range. The male is an average harley because I dont see much pattern on the upper lateral. He looks good though so maybe $100-$200. Just my $.02

Hmm, crestie pricing can be hard. If that female fires up nice and red, I'd expect her to be worth $250-400. as for the male, I'd say $125 max, though he does have really good crest structure. JMO.

I would say no more then $60 for the male as he is basicly an average harley, and up to $100-$140 for the female. Although yes they can go for alot more, looking at it I can tell it is not a fire engine red in color. But if that is about as fired up as she can get, you are looking at around $100. Right now it is hard to move cresties, I have seen geckos which last year would have sold for $300-$350 go for $100-$150. Babies last year I would have fly at $50-65, this year they are hardly moving.

Thanks for the help guys! I feel much more confident about my trade. I'm trading an exceptional male enigma and a lovely female bb for this pair of cresties. :)

We traded today! I'm so excited to have my new cresties! They look so much better in real life than in the pictures. :) The female is a bit skittish, but the male is very docile. I'm so happy to have them! :)

i'm not sure he didn't get the better end of the deal if you say the leos were exceptional. the pair above is average.

At least you're happy with the trade.

I know thats what I was thinking. But so long as you are happy that is what matters. Be sure to show us pics of the new pair, hopefully better quality pics
