Hows this?

OK, I haven't actually purchased any Leos yet, but I have been reading some books and web site and getting stuff set up. Had a little problem with only heating with a heat pad, so I added a light for daytime, and a light for night. House temp. goes down to 65 F when I am not home. I have it running off a thermostat and its staying 90-91 F on the hot side and 72-74 F on the cold end. During the night I have a night-glo light set up and the warm end only gets up to 87-89 F and the cold end drops to around 70-71 F. Heres a few picts, I got the aquarium used, but I think its an 18-20 gallon long (30"x12"x12"). Is this a decent setup? I would like to get 2 females, is this enough room? Different sources seem to have different information, some say its a good size for 2, some say it isn't.

Do you have a calcium dish? How about a moist hide for shedding? It looks and sounds pretty good to me otherwise.

As for the females, there is enough space for two. My advice is to either get adults that you KNOW are both female, or get 20g+ juvies from a breeder that is well experienced in sexing. You really don't want to end up with a male and female in there, or worse - two males. Even with 2 girls you have to make sure they are close to the same size and keep an eye out for aggression. You should be prepared to separate them if needed.

Grey hide in the middle is the humid hide, other 2 are just normal hides. The little white dish is for calcium, guess I kind of shoved it under the rock hide while I was messing with temperature probe.

Thanks for reply, I will make sure to get 2 similar sized leos. I am planning on buying them off a breeder, and not from a pet store.

If you don't use the light during the day, does the tank get any light? Bright lights like that can stress them out, so if you are using it purely for heat, I would just keep the blue light on at all times.
