We need to stick together and send him an email regarding the HR669 Bill and let him know how we feel and what we think about it and I will let him know that I oppose this Bill and so does everybody else in the reptile or exotics community.
Like many pshycotic extemist groups, you use propaganda to send a message with no real scientific backing... It is amazing how uneducated groups of whackos can get through daily life...
You show a yellow anaconda on the header of your page... Yellow anacondas are a small species of anaconda that reach no where near the proportions you mention... The largest green anacondas do not even get that large...
You also have a Ball python listed as a Burmese python...
#1 Ball pythons rarely grow past 6 feet long...
#2 Burmese pythons will hardly grow up to 20 feet long...
I would say to get your facts straight before you try to push your views on people but the fact of the matter is that it would be asking too much from a group of ignorant, uneducated nut-jobs...
I bet you never thought about the hundreds of thousands of jobs that would be lost as a result of this rediculous bill... Why would you care about that??? Your "group" and groups like yours are self serving and can not see past the nose on your face...
Those of us who know better, know that this bill will never be passed... There is too much involved and there will be no way to regulate any of this... Plus there is nothing solid to back any of your silly claims...
While I think a revised HR 669 will have great potential, it frankly amazes me that they messed up this brochure so badly. It's not really propaganda, all of the species they've mentioned have been scientifically documented to have huge impacts on native wildlife. But saying a yellow anaconda is as bad as a green anaconda or worse, mistaking a ball python for a burmese python? Someone didn't do his homework, which of course throws the whole brochure into question. Disappointing.
