huge mealworms or supers?

I got a new package of mealworms today as my beetles aren't breeding fast enough. found around 6 massive "mealworms" I took a picture to compare. they are WAY larger than some of the mealworms Ive had in the past. evaluate?

Darker head does suggest a small superworm but who knows?!

I recently ordered some "Vita-Bug" mealworms, and they are huge! But the heads are not dark like a suoerworm.

Those are called giant mealworms.

They look like mealworms to me. The supers usually have more dark brown or black markings on the body (unless they've just molted).

Super worms are a different species. Giant mealworms are mealworms that have been treated with growth hormone so they continue to get bigger without pupating. I don't like feeding my geckos chemicals and additives so I stay away from the giant mealworms. In general, healthy mealworms that are fed a high quality diet can get about twice the size of ones that are kept on just oats and potatoes.

I do not see dark heads on those. And they look like mealworms to me...not superworms.
