A teacher in the school i work in today had some cooked meal worms, cheddar flavor. He offered me some and i said i feed those things to my gecko and i know what theyre like when theyre alive....soooo, no thanks. He then called me a wimp and ate a handful. I gotta tell ya, i was very curious to see what all the fuss was about because our geckos sure cant get enough of them! Needless to say, i didnt want to eat worms. :main_thumbsdown:

I work for a Pet Valu here in Canada (doesn't sell animals) and around Christmas time it can get VERY boring. This year we had everyone working and the store was dead, maybe 5 customers all day and this was Christmas Eve. A guy I work with, Mike, had the bright idea to see who would be brave enough to eat a superworm. Needless to say, I cannot be called a wimp and just shrug it off.....so I ate a wriggling little superworm.....and so did Mike. It was absolutely the most vile thing I have ever done. But I have the respect of everyone who works there hahaha. It isn't the taste that gets ya, its the crunch LOL

My history teacher during my senior year in high school brought in crickets and fried them in some butter. (They were relatively small ones.) But I damn sure got up and ate one.
They were pretty good, if you ask me. lol
I'd try anything. But you couldn't tell me what it was before I ate it. Wait until after... 'cause if I like it, I'll eat it anyway. But if you tell me that I'm about to eat a superworm or a friend tarantula beforehand... I doubt I'll do it. Haha (Well, I might... if it's cooked though...)

Some years back I was in Davis, buying some odds and ends for my geckos at the local hardware store which also has a pet section. A guy from the entomology (study of bugs) program at UC Davis was in line with me. He had some mealworms he had purchased and decided to sample them without even a second thought!
