Humid Hide Question

I am in the process of making new humid hides for all my geckos, but unfortunately one of the old hides broke tonight as I was cleaning. I don't have any extra tupperware lying around, but I do have a mason jar. They have more of a square body shape than a round, so it didn't roll easily when I placed it on it's side as a test. Are there any problems with putting wet paper towel inside and using it as a makeshift humid hide until I get the proper ones finished?

How long will it take you to get a proper humid hide??? Honestly, if it is going to be like tomorrow or two days from now, you will not even need a humid hide... 1 or 2 days without one will not be a problem...

Unless your gecko is in the process of shedding as we speak,
dont worry about it. Just replace it when you can.

humidity

i only place a humid hide in when she sheds.

Humidity Conditions the Gecko
and also allows for an easier shed.

If you will notice they will go into a humid hide a lot more
than when ready to shed.
If you don't furnish one, you should
probably be misting the tank on a regular schedule.
......Take care. Hj

I use empty plastic butter or yogurt containers for mine. Anything washable with a snap on lid really.

They can live without a humid hide for a few days if they are not shedding. If they are you can just spray them every day.
