humid hide sometimes or all the time?

I've seen some posts where people have said they only put a humid hide in when the leo is going to shed and they don't need it always. But others-myself included-keep the hides in constantly.
I would think it would benefit the leo to have constant access to one. Just from what I've seen, babies/juvies seem to shed constantly. And with adults, sure they get dull when about to shed, but how do you know they wouldn't shed more often if they had thier hide? I'm just curiouse. The whole thing pretty much dumbfounded me.
What are some benefits to having hide access all the time as opposed to sometimes?

I agree with Jason that it should be in there all the time. Our guys don't use water dishes and instead drink from the sides of their moist hide.

All of my geckos except for one has access to humid hides at all times. Ozzy gets one when shedding because tupperware doesn't fit in with a "natural" setting. He sheds just as often as he did when he had one around 24/7. As for drinking, he drinks from a dish just fine.

I only put it in when she is about to shed now

The past few weeks, she never goes in the humid hide so I just took it out
