Humid Hide usage

I'm a newbie and I was wondering how often Leo's will frequent their humid hides? Do they hang out there or only when they shed? I built a humid hide using a tupperware with a hole cut in the lid and Sphagnum moss inside, but I have never seen here get in it? Should I wait a while or try a different hide? She's been with us for almost a week, but the hide has been there for about 3 days. Before that I made a different hide that dried up too quickly (she never used it either).

I have my humid hides for my leos in the middle .I also have one hide on the warm and on the cool side so they can choose where they wanna be .The most time my leos will spend in the humid hide but some times they stay for a few days in the others .Just give your gecko some time you only have her for a week now , she might even go in her humid hid when your not looking.

I agree that you may just not be looking at the right time. Every gecko is different. I have one that we have to pry out of her humid hide - others that I never see go in.

Yeah I'm using damp paper towels in my humid hide. I've just had them a week and my female one loves to go in there. I've seen my male in there too but mostly the female.

I was obviously impatient... I found her in there last night and she's still (or back) in there this morning... Thanks for all the tips.
