Ive been having problems with keep enough humidity in my tank. I have two Leopards and they have been having problems shedding. I have a Hide but they wont go in it. So what about putting a Mini-Humidifier in the Tank? Anyone thought of that?

I have alot of fake plants in my leos tank I mist during shed time. They give alot more surface area to hold water so I think that would help to bring the humidity up. Do you have a hygrometer?

Try changing the humid hide substrate and the humid hide itself.

I have two geckos that will only go into the humid hide when it's lined with paper towels. They refuse point blank to go into it with moss.

I also have one that won't go into a tupperware humid hide

I personally use ecoearth, and it's been great for my geckos that have shedding issues because it retains moisture well if you mist it. Maybe you could switch to that if you feel comfortable using that as a substrate (even just to keep in the humid hide). If not, you could deffinately use a real plant or two to retain humidity. Or even maybe get a bigger shallow dish for water. As that evaporates it should lift the humidity in the tank. Try out several things before the humidifier, since those things are expensive.

Yea i think im gonna put some real plants in there and see what happens. I dont have a hygrometer but i should pick one up. Ive tried moss in tupperware, ive tried paper towels, and i have a nice water fall so i thought that would be enough water in the tank to raise the level but it didnt. There just picky i think.

Hey, if you already have a waterfall in there it may just be that the ventilation is making all the humidity leave the tank. What we do with our python, and something you could try, would be to take a small towel and cover like 75% of the screen top. This should keep the tank warm and more humid. When you get a hygrometer it should be easier to keep track of it, and you can cover less or more depending on what it says.
