Humidity

So I have a hygrometer, it always reads 50% moisture, is that too much for my gecko? He seems fine, I mean, it's been like that for quite some time... Buuut, I have read that it is not good to go over 40%... Any ideas on how to keep the humidity in the tank lower? I have a ten-gallon tank as of right now, in the future it will be bigger... But for right now, any ideas?

make sure the water bowl is on the cold side of the tank.

During the summer I live in a humid area and it's usually around 50%. There's nothing I can do really and it doesn't seem to bother my geckos. I think you're fine.

OK thanks everyone! The water bowl is on the cool side of my tank, I just fill it with less water daily now...
