Last season, with the hobovator and the egg containers where the eggs are buried in the substrate, the humidity was measuring 80-90%. This season I'm using the SIM and I find that the humidity needs to be closer to 95% to create the water droplets on the side of the container.
Mind you this is my 1st season but mine have been hatching out at 80-90% as well. I was worried that may be a little too high as someone else I know had mold growing on her eggs but mine turned out great! My eggs also went a little clear on the bottom (not see through of course but very thin) days before they hatched which freaked me out because I thought they were getting "soggy" or something but I guess they were just ready to pop out lol
