Hunger strike

So we're going on day three of no eating

I have tried feeding her in the morning, afternoon and night

She has shown interest...even gotten to the point of starting to strike; but doesn't follow through

We were doing really well for about a week

Very easy to care for my butt :main_rolleyes:

I'm such an animal lover that she stresses me out to the max when she doesn't eat. One little gecko is responsible for high blood pressure :main_yes:

Our latest addition went 2 weeks without eating. Repti-aid was what I credit with finally getting her to try. Is your leo new?

Ive had her for like 2 months?

She was finally eating well for about a week. Then this happened

She's weird...she'll eat fine; then not eat at all

I think I have a "slow" leo :main_rolleyes:

They dont need to eat everyday, how old is your leo?. If its young then just make sure to leave a dish of mealies in the cage at all times, he/she should eat if hungry, it may not be eating because its not hungry..

5 years

She was eating every other day. Now, nothing

I don't leave mealies in her tank anymore since she never ate them and they always escaped

when was the last time she had a fecal done ? or been de-wormed - many parasites can cause hunger strikes or lack of interest in food. thats why the drug flagyl seems to illicit eating again because they don't have internal problems anymore and want to eat.

is she showing a noticeable weight loss?

Also, is she around any males?

Glad she ate, didnt think their was problem, she just may not be hungry, adults dont need to be fed everyday. 2-3 times a week is fine for adults.

I'm glad she ate too. She has been eating every other day. Sometimes every three days
