well after dumping two HUGE mealworms colonies from grain mites I was so upset! Well I checked the remaining colony and it seems to be doing good, I see a hundred meal worms in there already.
Here are some pics:main_thumbsup:

thanks Nicholas :)
Grain mites are little white bugs that live in the bedding of the meal worms and they can take over REALLY fast and people say they can eat the worms. I didn't actually see worms being eaten, but I didn't see production, so maybe the bugs ate the eggs.

Grain mites,Edgar can actually get inside the mealworms. And internally feed on their bodily fluids.

Can they harm the gecko if the infected mealies are given to one?

If all those potatoes in there are cut in half?
Flip them over(skin side down) so the moisture does not drain into your grain.
They dry out better, less chance for mold, and hold down some of the
unwanted wet breeding grounds..
try some orange peel( no fruit)
You will be pleased with the meal worm quality....take care. HJ
