As Paulnj said, bump your temps up to about 90, and be sure that you are measuring the substrate temperature with a digital thermometer with a probe (or a temp gun). The strip thermometers and dial thermometers that they sell in most pet stores will not give you the accuracy that you need.

With proper temps and low stress, he should start eating for you soon.

I would even go as high as 95 if need be. I had a gecko come in last year from LV that wouldn't eat at 91. The breeder suggested 95 and it started eating like a gluton !

Lenny died ! We tried everything i was in contact with the expert from the local zoo and we tried to hand feed , you name it we did it ! My poor son found him on sunday am and was distraught ! It was a very very upsetting experience . We have another gecko today and tbh it looks so obvious now that Lenny was very unhealthy when he came to us ! Raggety arrived with a big fat tail , bright eyes , licking his lips ! He jumped into the vivarium and had a good look around ! His movements are speedy and he is an entirely different creature ! I feel really cross that that poor little gecko could have been sent out like that tbh and with all the wrong food and substrate ! I feel confident we are doing everything right and am praying that everything goes ok this time ! First sign of anything at all and i will get the expert out to him ! But i am quietly hopeful nothing will go wrong this time ! ( touch wood ) He is gorgeous i will post a pic when i can but don't want to freak him out at all until he knows where he is and is settled i am being extra cautious !

Did you disinfect the tank before placing Raggety into it?

And I had something similar happen to my gecko. Its very sad and i'm sorry for your loss.

Thanks Liz Marie it has been disinfected . I went quite a way today to an exotic pet store . The guy there is very knowledgeable and was so helpful ! He wants me to take my son done there so he can feed his enthusiasm for his gecko and quiz him on what he knows ! This guy is on UK tv this week on a kids programme and with David Attenbrough so i trust his judgement ! I came away £80 lighter though ! But as long as Raggety is ok thats the main thing . He said he thought Lenny had had flagelitis ? So although i had cleaned the viv i have now sterilised it . When he came out and chased crickets and ate a waxworm today i felt like i had won the lottery ! Sad huh ?
