I have never bred an Enigma to another Enigma.. what happens? Do you get 100% Enigmas? I remember at one point there was some speculation there might be a Super form of Enigma.. although I suppose if that were true, we would have heard about one by now. Any problems breeding Enigma x Enigma?

They're both beautiful :sweetheart:

Assuming both parents are heterozygous Enigmas, Enigma x Enigma should yield 25% homozygous Enigmas, 50% heterozygous Enigmas, and 25% normal. Since Enigma is a dominant trait there would be no visual difference between a homozygous and heterozygous Enigma, the only way to know which is which would be to test breed. A homozygous will produce 100% Enigma offspring, while a heterozygous will produce 50% Enigma offspring.

Plenty of folks know more than me about this than me and maybe they'll chime in, but I think enigmas are born with solid white tails and a tell-tale white "U" on the back of their head. If that's true, then they wouldn't be enigmas from what I can see.

Anyone else?

While this is generally true, Enigmas can hatch with white tails that have black spots and not all of them have that U-shape on the head
