The first gecko I bought is about 3 or 4 months old and I don't know the sex, and the gecko I bought today I have no idea if it is female or male. The guy at the pet store said it does not matter, really because the same sex gecko can fight, or even the opp sex can fight, that what he said. I now have two leppard geckos, that I know for sure and both very small. I hope they get along, no problems so far, then I only had a few hours and their babies. How do I know to remove them, what signs do they show if they are not compatable? I really hope I don't have the same sex geckos. I read not a good idea but guy at pet store said it does not matter, they even had a fat tailed gecko in with Leppoard geckos. I thought that was a no no but he said there was no problem. If they are babies and get along, will they get along when they are older if they grow up together as babies?

well same sex may be ok as long as they are both female. even than you may have problems but 2 females would be the best outcome. it would probably be good to make sure they are around the same size so that bulling is less likely. any how i hope this helps some. im sure others have great or even better advice for you.

Same sex is NOT ok if the leos are males. as soon as they become sexually mature they will fight to the death :(. diff sex is ok as babies but keep a close eye because you dont want a sexually mature male(about 20g with visual sexing) in with a female over 20g in case of unintentional breeding witch can be VERY harmful to the female and male gecko, even resulting in possible death in the females case if she has ovulated early and gets pregnant.
