i cant get my gecko to eat

im buying new bedding tomorrow cuz i only have cardboard and paper lol but when i gave him his food (mealworms but im gonna start giving him crickets) i was changing the cardboard and there was a lot of mealworms hiding under there and ive only seen him eat three times so i dont know if hes eating or not plz help.:eek:

Are the mealworms escaping or is the gecko dumping the bowl? Mealworms will run and hide immediately if given the chance. Try using a heavy bowl that they can't escape from and see if he's still not eating.

I would stray to the conclusion that they are escaping first, try finding a bowl with a curved top to it, big enough to get the geckos head in to eat but lipped enough so they can't escape.
After this you can monitor your gecko and reach the conclusion if he is eating or not.

Also I would suggest that if they are avaliable to you, feed them locusts, I have found them to have a higher nutritional package.
