I could use a bit of help

I just got a gargoyle gecko about a week ago. The poor thing was in with another who was fairly aggressive, so this one has lost the tip of it's tail and has a small wound on it's nose just under the eye, which seems to be healing okay, but has a bit of shed stuck to it.
Now I have other reptiles, but have never owned any type of gecko before, and for some reason no one seems to be able to tell me anything other than "they are just like crested geckos", which doesn't really help me any.
Right now I have it in a 29g tank, with just a tube light (like for a fish tank) to keep up the light cycle. It does have a screen top but I covered half with plexiglass. Will a 29g be big enough for one for it's whole life? It's about 80 in my reptile room, but the temp in the tank seems to fluctuate from about 73-80, and I mist 3-4 times a day to keep the humidity at about 80-90. This is all based on stuff I looked up about crested geckos, so please correct me if I'm doing something incorrect.
I've only been giving it repashy CGD, I tried offering it a few crickets and a small roach but it wasn't interested.

Other than husbandry, I was wondering if it's sex could be determined? I don't know how old it is, but it's 21g right now.

Welcome to GF!

It sounds generally OK. I don't think you need to mist quite that much. I mist every evening. Some gargs don't eat crickets, and CGD alone is OK. Be aware that the low 80's is about the max they're comfortable with, so if you have a cooler area in your reptile room, put it there. I'm having a heck of a time figuring out the sex of my own gargs, but for some reason, most of them are females. If it's a male you should see bulges and preanal pores (but I can't see those even on my proven male).

It hasn't been over 82 any time I checked, I put it near the door so hopefully that helps keep the temp down. It's not a big deal about the sex. I only have one, and am not planning to put another in with it, I just thought if someone could tell, I could name it correctly lol But it really doesn't matter.

It seems to like the CGD, but I will keep trying once a week to give it some bugs. Do you know if I need to add Calcium to the CGD?

I believe that the CGD is considered by Repashy to be a whole meal so it already has the appropriate amount of calcium.
