You probably do know more about them than the people that work at Petco...the cages they keep their reptiles in is sickening. The petsmart near me keeps their beardie babies in little 5 gallon tanks, if even that. Which is not how they should be kept at all.

But, when you have dog owners and cat owners providing them with ample business these chain stores are likely never to shape up

Petsmart is even worse with thier reptiles. Some petco's have older equipment than others too. my store is fairly update, but others nearby have TINY cages.

But yes, it'll take a LOT to make corperate petstore shape up.

Unfortunately.

I heard petco got some of their reptiles taken away for insufficiant care.
But I think they got them back.

Which is exactly the reason why I avoid spending money at stores like Petsmart/Petco. I've probably spend 20 dollars there in the last 2 and a half years, and it was only because I couldn't get something at the local store or I couldn't wait for something to ship from LLL...

i used to work at petco.. Many of my geckos came from there. Wretched..just keep looking. They come in every now and then.. anything real good i would just snatch it up before it hit the floor. just like any company ya got good stores and bad stores.
