ok so let me set the stage for you if you have read my intro thread you know my beardie is very sick, and that shes possibly dying. is it selfish of me to want a replacement animal if she does die?.....i mean its a life, even if it isnt human and u cant just "buy" another relative

My wife can't have any kids. All our Leopard Geckos, turtles, cats are our kids. Granted I am breeding most of the leopard geckos but It is just natural to replace one if one dies. I lost 2 and I am about to pick up 2 Leopard geckos in a few minutes that are rescues. I am also looks like have new homes for 2 geckos I rescued about 1 1/2 -2 months ago. I do some gecko rescues besides the geckos I keep.

I got into reptiles after my dog died last year, partly bc i said i would never replace her with another dog. If my beardie died i don't think i'd be able to get another one. I get so attatched to my pets, i couldn't imagine selling one of my leos. It's gonna be bad when i start breeding them, hopefully i'll be able to part with hatchlings.
