I fel so stupid!!!!!!!

On another forum, I was telling you guys about a thermostat tat wouldn't regulate. Well, I found out why! The little probe attached to it was against the wall, hanging, when it was supposed to be against the floor over the UTH. My digital thermometer was reading the floor temp when the probe was supposed to be down there too. When I found that out, I felt so stupid!!!!!! Anyone ever had similar stupiditiy experiences?

How about these:

I had 2 probes for 2 different thermostats in the same tank.

I had a probe in a tank where the UTH was unplugged since the tank was unoccupied, so the thermostat that went with the probe was on all the time since it thought it was cold.
