I finally got bitten!

It was bound to happen eventually, I've had Boas for a little over a year and no bites until tonight. I was weighing my Colombian girls and one decided she didn't want to go on the scale, leaned over and gave me a little love bite on my pinky finger. :main_laugh: Lucky for me she's just a little girl, a few inches short of 3 feet.

I've been bitten by other Boas when I worked for a pet shop, but never one of my own until tonight.

i have been bitten by just about every snake i have ever owned except the false water cobras and copperheads LOL

(our collection was close to 80 snakes at one time)

I've been bitten by a Corn lol and am waiting for my Boa to do it. I have been bitten by a ATB before,not as bad as you would think!

I've gotten bitten by almost every boa in the house, including Eve, who is almost 8' long and thirty pounds. Yes, it was unpleasant.
My two year olds were the worst biters! I guess boas have "the terrible twos", also. LOL

Glad it wasn't too bad. I'm still waiting to get bit. My rosy keeps striking with a closed mouth. I think my hognose will be the one to get me. He has lots of attitude.

It was completely painless, but it bled a lot. I'm sure it would be a different story if it was from a bigger snake.

It's funny, I've been bitten more often by my boa (a COMPLETE sweetheart) than my short tail python (a nasty bastard). I guess it's because I'm never expecting a bite from the boa, but I'm ALWAYS on the lookout for the shortie.
