I'm so happy right now! I got accepted to Juniata and earned a merit scholarship of 15,000 a year!!! This is so freaking awesome. And hopefully I'll get the full tuition scholarship of nomination for their art department as well. Wish me luck!!! :main_thumbsup: :main_thumbsup: :main_thumbsup:

Congrats. If it's somewhere you've always dreamed of going don't let it pass you by with that offer.

I graduated in 'o6 and was accepted to CNR the college of my dreams it had my name written all over it. I almost had a full-paid scholarship because my grades and stuff but denied the offer like an idiot, out of fear and guilt! Now i really regret it and it's a hassale trying to transfer in. So if you want it GO for it, the skys the LIMIT!

Yes. welcome to the bizarre world that being associated with Juniata is. I mean, what are the chances that I would open up a random forum post just after contemplating the recent 'pay us money, you useless grad' letter and BAM it's Juniata? Pretty much no chance... but you'll probably understand why I'm not (too) surprised after you try to tell people out of state what school you're going to a couple times and get 'huh? is that in NY?' or 'Oh, yeah! Of course Juniata' a couple times.

Congrats on getting in. They really do have sweet scholarships. Sometimes you just check your mail one day and they've given you another one. (No joke.)

The art department isn't amazing like some places. I mean, like they aren't known for art, per say. And I think Jack retired (kick-ass ceramics instructor). Perhaps they are finally beefing it up. Or maybe I should say that most people come in as bio majors then end up in the arts/humanities. :main_rolleyes:

On the other hand- I doubt there is another school that will let you get away with a PoE (program of emphasis) for several semesters and only barely catch it before graduation (that one wasn't me, it was this guy who was practically a ceramic genius. He threw a pot once I swear a small to medium sized person could live in).

A little bit confused on the first part but I think I know what your getting at. I didn't even know who the hell Juniata was until 5 months ago when my history teacher mentioned they offered two art scholarships. One of which was a full ride and the other full tuition. So I said what the hey and applied there, went to visit the school, and loved it. And the rest is just gravy.

I will focus mainly on art but would like to work zoology in there a bit perhaps.
