We have all heard about the morph called W/Y, that comes from Sergey in Belrussia.
It looks like another breeder call the same morph Calico ( and the Blue tails are also probably W/Y ).

You also know that after breeding W/Y to a normal, this little one hatched...

Sergey says that he have never hatched any black eyed W/Y...so it seems like this can be something new. There is one more breeder in Europe that have got these kind of babies from breeding W/Y x Hypo ( I have heard ). He calls them Calico (???)...

I don´t know very much about the genetic in this little one...yet.
I hope things will clear up a bit this season.

But so far we can for sure see it´s not a W/Y...and my problem is that I would like to call it something.
What do you guys think...shall I wait and just keep on calling it " the strange baby", until we hopefully have hatched a bunch of these pretty nice looking Leopards?

This is what it looks like today...

I sure hope it proves out for you and I think it'd be well worth it to wait... We've seen what can happen in these situations too many times... Best of luck!

It looks like it has some of the same "properties" as a Mack super Snow... Like the black eyes, the stripish pattern and even the way it looks as a hatchling... But it has color to it... I would venture to guess that the gene may be similar to that of a MSS without taking coloration or atleast affecting similar genes...

That is a really cool leo you have there for sure... I would love to see how the gene works and what combos will look like...

Dont eat the yellow snow!!!! LOL

I will for sure keep you updated on what happens in this project.
Right know I have 12 eggs from the W/Y father in the incubator...from 5 different mothers.
2-3 weeks more and the first hatchlings should arrive.

Personally i go for the name calico over W&Y.Calico has a better ring to it IMO.The other breeder that bred oddball offspring looing like yours called them lupo calico.Personally i think super calico fit nicely.Ofcourse we don't quite understand the genetics yet.And i'm not saying the these oddball offspring are the super form of a Co-dom trait. But that dose mean you can call them super.

I agree that Calico is a name that sounds better, but Sergey named his morph W/Y, so for the "normal" ones I will keep that name in honor to Sergey.

Ho Everyone :) i Keep my fingers crossed for that projects . I really hope that corrsing this blacky with father will show something really COOL :) She is a female .w&y is a very special morph . When i 1 time saw w&y gecko i knew that its something special . For 2 years crossing w&y with normal and hypo females i always get different babies from every hatchlings .Some babies were pure w&y some very nice sibblings with some parts from w&y and classic ( for example the line ) or random black spots .
