for those with a slate bottom tank, I have a question...
I have a thermostat controlled UTH and a digital thermometer and Repti-carpet above.
I'm starting to regret Repti-carpet and I want to remove it.
(besides, the blue slate bottom looks nice.)
I was wondering if I could remove the carpet without risking the slate getting too hot. So my question is this...
What do you use for substrate (if any) and if none, how is it working for you?

Thanks for any feedback you can offer,
Chad

I had a slate bottom tank for awhile. The UTH should keep the slate at the correct temp though you may need a thermostat to keep it from getting too hot. I didn't use any other substrate.

Thank you for your response.
I'm becoming fairly dissatisfied with the carpet and I think I'm going to remove it.
I'll be sure to closely monitor the new conditions.
Thanks again,
Chad
