I may be getting ahead of myself but...

My boyfriend recently had to relocate his Mack snow, and I gladly took up the offer. The place he got it from assured him that it was female, that "he just knows because he works with them so much" -_-; This little one weighs 12g, I couldn't tell you it's exact age, but it's somewhere around four months TOPS. Regardless, I thought that since my leo was around the same age and weight that they could be housed together to save me some space, but after looking closer I start to wonder about this guy's expertise. This little one is not the sweetest of Leos, it's always running around in its tank if you try to pick it up (bit my boy right before the move) and makes noise all the time. He really doesn't like to be handled all that much. Any thoughts on this as well? Temps are normal on both sides.

Also I tried doing this method: http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=26095&highlight=Sexing+made+simple but I may not have the correct flashlight, it was hard to tell.

looks female to me! as far as him being a little "wild" just begin to handle him a little here and there. sometimes hand feeding can help a bond. be patient and do not be afraid the bite of a 12 grams leopard gecko doesn't hurt at all.

I'm more than willing to put the time into this little one, I was just concerned about housing it with a female leo if I wasn't certain that it's one or the other. I thought it looked female because it's missing the "v" but I just thought she looked awfully bulgy and she's still young so I couldn't be sure.

i think it looks female to, but you wont know for sure untill it get a little older. As far as being wild young leos are always a bit wild, also the change of setting would also make it a little uncomfortable also untill it get used to its new home. Patience is the best tool when it come to handling new and young geckos. The older it gets the calmer it will become. Also when you want to hold him/her instead of grabing her to pick her up try putting your hand in front of her and let her walk on her hand, so she is not as scared she will be more curious if you do it that way
