So I am adopting a little gecko from a pet store after someone returned it with a broken leg. How Horrible right?! Well they took it to the vet and the gecko lost its back leg from the knee down. It moves around fine, eats well and is very active. I haven't gotten the baby yet, but I got to see him/her today. The gecko is very feisty! If you go near it is clicks and chirps and tries to bite you. I feel so bad for this little one and want to know how I can get it to calm down and get used to humans. I have 3 other geckos, handled many others, and I have never seen one so aggressive! I need some tips in calming this one down. He/she has dropped part of the tail or something happened to it before the people brought the gecko back. It is growing back but I don't want to risk the tail dropping again. It isn't very old maybe 2 months or so. Please help me, I know I can take care of it fine but I don't always want it to be afraid of me. I hope someone can help me out.
