The bottom of her tail looks rubbed raw...what's that green stuff, astroturf?
Also, temps are too low.

If it really is open skin, which it looks like to me, you'll need to take her to a vet.
If it's a topical scratch that has left a trail of blood, clean it off with wet paper towels, and take her to a vet.

Either way, a vet and a better picture would help.

i took her to the vet and they said it was a burn? but i don't understand because her heating pad is no where near too hot. but they gave me some ointment to put on it every 12 hours

was just about to say it looks just like a burn. or somthing had traped her tail.
just use the stuff the vet gave you and keep her on paper towles so as not to get bits stuck to it. they heal really quick but dont be alarmed if the end bit falls off as it might well do. good luck :)

Good job for taking her to the vet! If she's housed alone, it can only be a burn, or she got trapped underneath something, or she had some stuck shed on her tail and tore it off herself, thus hurting herself. I bet it will heal fine if you keep it clean and disinfected. Her tail most likely won't fall off. A tail that falls off becomes dry-looking, but this one here had fresh color and wasn't shriveled.

Good luck!
