i've had my first gecko since feburary, and i love him to bits!
i'm thinking of getting another one in december, when the toronto expo comes back!
however i have one question,
is it true that having two geckos in one tank is okay?
ive heard the gecko can be lonely, but im not too sure as ive heard stories about geckos fighting, but i've also noticed in a lot of videos about geckos that most tanks / bins have more then one in them.
i'd appreciate any answer!

Is your current gecko a male or female? If it's a male, he will have to stay by himself. Another male will fight with him and a female will with him (I'm assuming you're not ready to take that on).

If it's a female, there could be an option to keep another one with it. Geckos are solitary creatures and don't "get lonely", but if you yourself would like another, and you want to house them together, you'd have to do this:
--make sure the new gecko is a female
--Quarantine the new gecko from the other one for at least a month
--Don't put them together until both geckos are roughly the same size
--Clean and re-arrange all the furniture in the tank you want them to share. Make sure there are enough hides so everyone has a choice. Put them in together and watch for any immediate aggression. Keep an eye on them over the next few days and weeks and watch for signs of bullying (scratches/bite marks on one of them, failure to eat, one constantly sitting on the other) in which case they'll need to be separated.

i was actually thinking of buying two at the expo! i wouldn't want to put one with my current gecko at the moment, he's used to being on his own and i think he'd like to stay alone.
breeding is something i don't plan on doing, so if i did buy two with the intention of having them both in the same tank, should i only go for two females?

If you want to put them together, you need to get 2 females. If you get them from 2 different breeders you will still need to quarantine them from each other for at least a month.

In my opinion all reptiles do better alone. I house my females together as juvenile s but as the mature there always seems to be some sort of bullying going on. And two males is a no no
