I would keep the temps high, make it a little more humid than normal, continue to offer live feed (if things get worse I would pop heads off worms and squeeze the goods out into his mouth), check/treat for parasites, handle as little as possible, let him settle in and rest. A LOT is changing in his life and stress will only complicate any conditions that he may have. A starved animal needs to be eased back onto food and not given the chance to eat too much. WATER is a huge must for any ill animal...so ensure he is getting plenty. Everything else is more or less letting him recover and get back to being a healthy boy.

I tried pressing animal abuse charges on him... but because its a reptile and not a "demostic" pet all i can do is file a complant... of the 6 leos, and 2 fatties i have the male and fat tails. 2 of the females have died, ones doing well and the other two arent. I dont have the others as he sold them to various people... So freaking stupid... He has monitors as well... and i can just imagine... :S

First off, I want to say how thankful I am that you got that reptile out of that ignorant, callous kid's hands. From your description, it sounds as if he has no respect or concern for the health and wellbeing of the animals he is keeping. No wonder all those animals of his are dying. The conditions in which they were kept sound absolutely, disgustingly poor, and to think he was trying to breed them as well! People like that absolutely sicken me. Just... absolutely reprehensible. Good for you for giving that animal a chance for a better life.

Unfortunately, and not surprisingly given the horrendous care from the previous owner, that gecko looks to be in terrible condition. Appears to be skin and bones, with a pretty bad stick tail. Abnormal feces like the ones you've described aren't a good sign either, and are often indicative of parasites inhabiting the gecko. I would say a vet visit and a fecal test should be a top priority if you want to get this gecko back to optimal health.

Besides that, I agree with everything Travis said. Good luck!

This might not be entirely correct....you gotta find your laws and see what they actually say. The rescue I am apart of has been digging deeper in to laws and reptile are included more than we think. If you show law enforcement the law I would hope they would comply. I think I have a link for laws by state.....BRB

And wait a minuet, I just realized you said it was because it is not a domestic animal!
Please hand them a dictionary

domesticated animal - any of various animals that have been tamed and made fit for a human environment. ~~Wow that simple
You should really try to take this farther! It makes me sick to think people can get away with abuse like this. Really how would they like it if they were fed the complete min for a year?!

Ok so I was basically in the same spot you are a week or so ago. I gave mine a few mealworms a day until he started to fattenn up. Dust with calcium every feeding and I actually gutloaded mine with oatmeal. After a week or so if u don't start to see tremendous weight gain, maybe a bit longer, then there's probably something deeper that's wrong. My guy wasn't fully digesting either, but he was just using in his body what was needed. Now he's pooping fine after getting used to eating again.
