Today I got an exo terra reptile den since I didn't get one for Christmas. :p I rinsed it with hot water after I got it and wiped it down with a towel before installing it in my tank.

The weird thing is is that I think Tiamat's afraid of it. lol She'll face the entrance and slowly wag her tail back and forth. She hasn't gone in it yet. (Maybe it's the smell?) Eventually she climbs on top of it. lol

It can take them a while, when I put my new moist hide in June Bug would smell it, climb on top of it, and is now finally going into it a few weeks later haha.

Lol, Ares is a turd. He wanders into everything. Including his calcium dish! XD

Stripes is the same, except he goes and gets his feet in the water then steps in the calcium. Now I know where he walks because he has white foot prints all over the cage.

may just take her a couple days, you never know what may be hiding in there to eat her! lol

Well she's quite happy with her other repti-cave so I might just use it for another leo later on (because I'm definately getting another one!) if she doesn't take to it.

They're so funny too, because sometimes for no reason at all, they seem to do that. We had a male that I had taken out of (his bin), and when I went to go put him back in, he FREAKED out. Jumped right back out and onto my hands. I then held him for a few seconds, put him back in for the second time around, and he laid there, tail-waving at his water dish! I don't know what he was thinking! I'm sure Tiamat will be okay after having it in her cage for a little longer :)

People say that lizards have limited cognitive ability, but I think they must be able to think SOMETHING. Even if it's "That water dish sure does look suspicious!" lol
