ID Me! ('Giant Day Gecko')

So while I was perusing the reptile section of a certain local chain store, I came across a gecko labeled as a 'Giant Day Gecko', stuck quite happily to the upper-right corner of its enclosure. However, he (She? It? He for posterity) looks like a giant, normal/wildtype leopard gecko, only instead of having a background of yellow and white, it was day-gecko-green.

This confuses me. Aren't giant day geckos supposed to be green and orange (perhaps with some yellow and red)? Is it a juvenile, do they shed into their colors like some other species of gecko? Or is it not a day gecko?

I don't have any pictures right now but I'll try to snap some the next time I'm in there.

Anyone have at least a guess at what he is? Or is he a day gecko and I'm just a frakking idiot?

To my knowlege, there are many species of day geckos, not to mention Phelsuma Klemeri which is blue with black stripes and a yellow head.

There are well over 60 species of day geckos. They come in many sizes and a myriad of colors/patterns. If it's a giant day gecko, it'd be green with or without red spots/barring. Google Phelsuma madagascariensis grandis...

That's why I'm asking. It's being sold as a 'giant day gecko' but looks nothing like a Madagascar or a P. Klemeri - It looks more like a climbing, green leo with blackish blue spots and no other markings...
