I have a 10 gallon for my male, and it just feels like he has no fun room.. I don't want to get another tank because i cant return this one. but i was thinking i could make a shelf or something to give him another level and area to excercise on (Since he doesnt like be handled so hes not out with us a whole lot).
how do people put shelves in their tanks? I dont want to put it in and then it fall off and smoosh the poor guy :(

Here's my second level: go to Home Depot or equivalent and get some "toilet flange repair" pieces. These are 6" tall PVC pipe pieces with a screw-on piece at the bottom. These are the legs of the second level. Then I take two 12"x12" tiles; you'll have to use smaller tiles because your tank is only 10" wide. The bottom tile goes upside down and the top tile goes right side up. In between the 2 tiles I put a mini UTH and use dominoes (or small tiles) at the corners to vent the heat from the UTH. The geckos can climb up to the second level by using their humid hide as a ladder.
