I thought my little crestie was a male, but now I'm not so sure.

It took me forever to find him/her against the glass and during the day, since the only times he comes out for me to hold him are during the night, that makes for terrible photos. Not to say these are good, by any means, but hopefully they're good enough for people with more crestie experience.

I know the second photo is garbage, but it does show a slight bulge better than the first one, although the first one shows no real pores. So I have no clue haha. He/she should be about 6-8 months old, so he should be sexable. If not I'll ask again in a few months.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know yet. I haven't had him/her long enough to have her trust yet, so whenever I do hold her it's purely to get her used to it. But I'll try to weigh her soon.

Can you take a pic of it next to something for a size comparison? If it is old enough to be sexed I'd say it's a female from the 1st pic. Females can have a slight bulge, but when it is a male you will know.

I will provide more photos and a weight as soon as I can. Thank you for the help so far, I know the photos aren't that great and that I don't have a whole lot of info to help haha.

Here are more photos of him/her. I tried to weigh her but I don't have the best scale in the world, but I did get that she's weighs somewhere between 15-20g.

Hopefully that's all everyone needs? I have a size comparison and a weight. If she is big enough to sex I agree that she does look like a female.

Alright, thank you very much. I have two hatchlings I plan on putting in with her when they get big enough if they are gender compatible, but if she is female (unless both hatchlings turn out to be males) that makes joining them eventually much easier.

Well,
I'm thinking female if she weighs 15-20 grams.
But keep an eye out for the hemipenile bulge just in case.

Yeah those bulges can be missing one day and BAM they are there the next. Within that higher size range they would have been visiable by now. So I'm going with female as well.

Great thanks everyone! I'll keep an eye on her anyway, but I feel better even just knowing what to call her lol I hate not knowing what to name them until I know their gender.

Im going with female at 15-20 grams.
For pore shots, you can put her in a clear deli-cup, angle it so you get light on it, and use the macro feature on your camera (the little tulip icon) to try and get a good clear close up of the vent/femoral area.
But I'm going with female, as the cloacal spurs are pretty small as well.
